Chase Jarvis, one of my favorite photographers, who loves taking photos with his iphone just created a new website called thebestcamera.com. The website is a photo sharing community for people to showcase photos taken with their iPhone.
Along with the website, he has created an iPhone app called Best Camera. The app is used to add effects to your iPhone photos and to upload to the website or share your photos on Twitter, Facebook or e-mail.
Not content with that. He has also published a new book called The Best Camera Is The One That's With You. It's a collection of his iPhone photos taken around the world.
So in one go, he has created a book, a website and an iphone app all tied together on the idea that "the best camera is the one that's with you". In his case, it's the iPhone.
That's one of things I like about Chase Jarvis, he embraces technology and figures out how it can work for him instead of how it will work against him. Just imagine, an iPhone App, a website and a book all tied to one device. The iPhone.
Who would have thought that one can create a photography book taken with just a camera phone. Amazing isn't it? That just shows that talent is more important than the gear.
