New Nikon D3000 and D300s

Nikon just announced the Nikon D3000 and the D300s.

The Nikon D3000 is an entry level DSLR. The Nikon D3000 is the replacement for the D40. It features a DX format 10.2 Megapixel CCD sensor using the EXPEED image processing system.

The Nikon D3000 includes an 11 point AF system with Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor module. You can view your images and menus on the 3 inch LCD monitor with 230K dot TFT LCD.

The Nikon D3000 is small enough that it is a good camera to bring all the time.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the Nikon D3000 is the guide mode. It is an in-camera assistance for first time DSLR users. Some guide includes how to blur a background, how to freeze motion or shoot close-ups and landscapes.

Check out the Nikon microsite for more details on the Nikon D3000.

Nikon also released D300s which is the replacement for the D300.

The Nikon D300s features a DX format 12.4 Megapixel CMOS sensor and includes an 51 point AF system with the Multi-CAM 3500DX AF sensor.

The LCD is a 3.0 inch 920K dot TFT LCD, the Nikon D300s can shoot up to 7 fps. Great for action and sports photography.
