Look at this one.
What do you see? Okay, other than it's photos of women showing their undergarments. What do you see?
How about this photo?
Other than it's blue, what did you notice?
Give up? They're not photographs. They're actually artworks drawn with a blue ballpoint pen on canvass.
Don't believe me? Check out this photo.

These photos are drawn by Juan Francisco Casas. He was a traditional painter and started these drawings 3 years ago.

These photos are drawn by Juan Francisco Casas. He was a traditional painter and started these drawings 3 years ago.
Casas said: "I guess it started off as a joke, to try and make something so realistic that people would think is a photo.
"I also wanted to create it with something that everyone has - a Biro. I don't think it has ever been done before.
"For me it's not that different from painting. I was trying to show that it doesn't matter what material you use, it's what you do with it."
So what does this have to do with photography? Nothing other than knowing that it doesn't matter what materials or equipment you use.
Art, especially good art or photo is appreciated by everyone and it doesn't matter what kind of camera you are using. I like how Casay says that "it doesn't matter what what material you use, it's WHAT YOU DO WITH IT."
That's a lesson any artist or photographer can take to heart.
